This print is from a Limited Edition portfolio of Lear's Parrots, produced from the originals in the library of the Linnean Society in London. "The Family of Psittacidae" (Parrot Family) is a wonderful series of parrot portraits by the famous illustrator Edward Lear (1812-88) who was so passionate about parrots that he once said that if there was such a thing as reincarnation he was sure he would return as a parrot.
