A fine original antique print. Steel engraving published in London circa 1854 by the London Printing & Publishing Company (previously Tallis & Co.) Tallis engravings with the finely engraved embellishment of the main scene with supporting subjects below and sometimes around the main engraving have always been particularly collectable – particularly when they depict a great naval battle scene.

As all such engravings were published in black and white, the colour has been added at a later date. It certainly highlights the detail of the action!
