Turkey in Europe, & Greece antique map. Findlay c1853
$80.00
Antique Map of Turkey in Europe & Greece, by Alex. Findlay c1853.
Original map engraved on steel (with contemporary outlining to landmasses, and colour to ocean) by well-known mapmaker-hydrographer, Alexander Findlay for his Modern Atlas published in London circa 1853 by William Tegg & Co.
"Turkey in Europe & Greece" written on the reverse in Indian ink (fortunately not showing through to front) and very slight soiling to front, – not detracting from a quite attractive map with original (contemporary colour).
Page Size 300mm x 240mm (11.3/4" x 9.1/2")
