This interesting map shows the voyages of the principal discoverers of Australia and the Pacific region, north to the Sandwich (Hawaiian) Islands – including Abel Janszoon Tasman in 1642, William Dampier in 1688, James Cook on his first voyage 1768-71, second voyage 1772-5, and third voyage 1776-9.  Australia, also shown as Terra Australis and New Holland as fully circumnavigated, with separate Tasmania.
