Naval Portrait Antique Print of Adam, First Viscount Duncan. c1853

$90.00

Very decorative Naval Portrait with ship in background.

An original steel engraving by the famous Tallis publishing house, at the time of this publication, called the London Printing & Publishing Company. Tallis were publishers of steel engravings of both maps and prints. They were renowned for the decoration of the central subject by an added finely engraved border – in this case a superbly intricate embellishment.

The hand-colour has been added at a later date, as this fine engraving was published in black & white.
The page size is: 27 x 18cm
