Large Lily image. Lilio, Narcissus Indicus. Reproduction print.

$120.00

A large print of a beautiful red lily, from a watercolour circa 1729 by John Simson.

Reproduced in 1996 from the collection of the Earl of Derby in England. John Simson's botanical studies were always more interesting because of the additional personal detail in the pots that usually accompanied them.

Early original botanical engravings are almost non-existent. We are fortunate to have access to a few superb large reproductions from early watercolours.

This print is in fine condition. Size: 67 x 49cm (27 x 19.5 inches)
