Heritage Editions Piranesi Large Vase (usually known as Piranesi Urn), Front view + Side view.
Two reproduction prints from a pair of rare etchings on copperplate, from the workshop of Giovanni Battista Piranesi and his son Francesco. Originally published in Rome between 1773 and 1777 for Piranesi's Vasi, Candelabri, Cippi y Sarcofagi..
Piranesi was the finest etcher of his time. The three dimensional impression and depth of definition of his etchings is fantastic. This grand vase print is a dramatic and timeless image. They are very large prints, measuring 65 x 45cm (25.5 x 17.75 inches).
