Greyhound, Fox Terrier, Skye Terrier… The New Love. c1883

$125.00

Antique print of young girl with Skye Terrier puppy.

A lovely scene in Victorian England in front of a fireplace (with fine later hand-colour). Eleven year-old Kate looked after the gentle Greyhound that she called Clarinda. Nine year-old Minnie called 'her very own' Fox-Terrier, Tip. The 'small bundle of fluff' Skye-Terrier, named Tiney, was a 12th birthday present, so that Kate had a pet of her own too.
