Original hand-coloured lithograph by Henry Constantine Richter from the drawing by 'The Bird Man' John Gould for "Birds of Great Britain" published in London between 1862 and 1873. John Gould was known as 'The Bird Man'. He employed the finest lithographers of the day to create large hand-coloured lithographs that are some of the finest bird illustrations ever done. John Gould had an excellent eye for detail, and closely supervised the work of his lithographers.

This is a grand illustration. Unfortunately our scanner is not large enough to show the full lithograph which is as issued, 30 x 37cm (21 x 14.5 inches). If you would like further pics, please email us at sales@antiqueprintclub.com.
