Gill) for John Sherer’s “The Gold-Finder of Australia – How he went, How he fared, How he made his fortune” published in London circa 1853. London-based Sherer added descriptive captions below each of his engravings of the Australian goldfields.
Engraved page measures 13 x22 cm (5 x 8.5 inches). Image measures 110 x 165cm (4.25 x 6.5 inches). A group of these, framed on the wall, would be an interesting historical statement.
