Flemish architect and engraver Jean-Francois Deneufforge(1714-1791) studied engraving in Paris from around 1840. Original copperplateengraving (with later hand-colour), drawn and engraved by Deuneufforge for hishuge " Basic Architectural Manual" Recueil élémentaired'architecture, published in Paris between 1757 and 1768. A series oneighteenth century French architectural detail of both public and privatebuildings and other structures. Deneufforge included floor plans, facades,ceilings, walls, columns, and all aspects of interior decoration.
