Court of Common Pleas judge, Creswell Levinz Knight (1627-1701). "Late one of the Judges of the Court of Comon Pleas".

Fine original copperplate engraving by Robert White (1645-1704) after the painting by Gottfried Kneller (1646-1723). Robert White was an eminent 17th century line-engraver, and Kneller was well known for his portraits of prominent personages.

This is portrait is beautifully presented within a ribbon-decorated oval, above a plinth with the coat of arms of Sir Creswell Levinz. Published in London c1793 with fine later hand-colour.
